Novaciéries

In the short film NOVACIÉRIES, (LA)HORDE constructs a contemplative situation in which the multiple facets of jumpstyle a dance emerging from the mainstream hardcore movement are reinterpreted to embody different aspects of the development of a “post-Internet” dance.

The film is a hybrid project combining cinematic footage shot by (LA)HORDE in a disused steel factory, documentation of a performance featuring the film’s performers, and archival material produced by them (“homemade videos”).

Through this blending of mediums, aesthetics, and perspectives, NOVACIÉRIES transcends the dance film format to offer a choreographed portrait of the post-industrial world.
