In Age of Content, (LA)HORDE seeks to question our physical and emotional relationship to the abundance of content and simultaneous realities that characterize the contemporary world.

The piece is conceived as an exploration of multiple realities through bodies in search of new horizons. Dance unfolds as a ride through a set designed like a fresco of paradigms, successively traversed and pierced by bodies that confront, clash, challenge, attack, fight, flee, embrace, desire, and love one another.

Our virtual incarnations are no longer merely representations of a referential reality; they possess their own autonomous existence, directly shaping the way we move and communicate through the body. Through their multiplicity, they weave an infinity of realities and narratives that coexist, forming a multiverse in which we exist in a plural way, within a completely deconstructed space-time.

The age of content thus results in a blurring of the boundaries between the real and the simulated, leading to an inversion of codes that appears as an unprecedented moment in the history of representation. Are our avatars reflections of our bodies, or is it the other way around? Are we instead driven by our multiple virtual identities?

In (LA)HORDE’s work, the stage becomes a space for questioning the environments in which we live, both online and offline. It is a place with its own reality, where these different incarnations can be collectively explored through encounter, conflict, embrace, cohesion — through dance.

At the core of the choreographic creation, the collective draws on a range of imaginaries that embody this ambiguous relationship between the real and the simulated body: action cinema, stunts, musicals, open-world video games, and social media platforms such as TikTok.
