The BNM presents Long Play (LP), a new immersive piece by Alexandre Roccoli, created with the dancers of the BNM, and the Egyptian composer and visual artist Adam Shaalan.
The piece is conceived as a ceremony, a hybrid mixture of dance performance, kinesthetic installation, rest room, hypnosis room and curative trance. Immersed in music that is the heir to minimalism and ambient, time seems to be suspended, and the relationship to space and duration becomes completely different, between reality and imagination. The sensory relationship between seeing and hearing shifts.
"This sound and choreographic project - which could last a whole night - is not conceived as a party but rather as a space that would cure, heal certain wounds. Thus the score of this work wishes to respond to an approach in which sound and its frequencies - but also its materials - will be able to deepen the perception and experience of the public/visitor."
