Samuel Gilovitz was born in Perth, Australia. He began his dance studies at the Australian Ballet School and later moved to the New Zealand School of Dance where he graduated in contemporary dance. During his studies, Samuel benefited from the teaching of mentors such as James O'Hara, Alice Lee Holland or Victoria Colombus, and performed works by Damien Jalet and Huang Yi. In 2019, he begins his professional dance career at Dance Theatre Heidelberg under the direction of Iván Pérez. There he dances pieces by Iván Pérez, Renan Martins or Astrid Boons.
Samuel joined the Ballet National de Marseille as a dancer in 2022.
