Androa Minder Kolo’s family history is at the root of this project, the body being the vehicle for questions about his own history and that of the world. How to rebuild the relationship between a long estrange mother and a son? How to transform absence into presence?
To reconstitute his family history, without trying to fill in the holes in his memory but rather using the « blind spots », Androa Minder Kolo develops a poetics of disappearance, consisting of shadows and apparitions, of matters and colors, music and reinvented rituals. Voilà les temps seeks to exorcise suffering, to make it (re)emerge without letting it overwhelm him. The performance becomes a form of resistance to traumatize, beyond mere aesthetic ends.
