Olivia Grandville

Olivia Grandville is a dancer and choreographer. Trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School, she joined the corps de ballet in 1981. In 1988, she decided to devote herself exclusively to contemporary dance and left the Paris Opera Ballet. After creating a piece with J.F. Duroure, she joined the Bagouet company in 1989 and participated in all of its productions. Following the death of Dominique Bagouet in 1992, she co-founded Carnets Bagouet, an association dedicated to preserving the legacy of this highly influential choreographer. It was at this point that Olivia Grandville began to pursue her own projects.

In 2010, the Ballet National de Marseille commissioned her to create a pointe work, Ci-Giselle.

She was appointed director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de La Rochelle in June 2021, succeeding Kader Attou.
