Since 2019, supporting young dancers as they move into professional life has been central to the Ballet national de Marseille’s artistic project under the direction of (LA)HORDE. The Danseur·euse·s de demain programme welcomes them into the company at a pivotal moment: the transition from training to a professional career.

The apprentices are employed by the BNM and receive artistic, educational and professional support throughout the season. CHANEL has supported the programme since 2024 and has renewed its patronage for the 2026–2027 season, enabling the Ballet to continue this commitment with a new group of apprentices.

The apprentices share in the daily life of the company’s permanent dancers, taking part in training, workshops, rehearsals and creative processes. Working alongside (LA)HORDE, choreographers and guest artists, they encounter different approaches to making work and develop their practice as performers.

Their experience extends to the stage through the BNM’s performances and tours. They also receive support focused on health and injury prevention, helping them build a sustainable professional career.

Born in Stockholm, Olle practised gymnastics before turning to dance and studying at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands. He then spent a season as an apprentice with Skånes Dansteater in Sweden before joining the BNM in August 2026.
Clara trained at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory before moving to Canada to study at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. After graduating, she joined the BNM as an apprentice in August 2026.
Alberto trained at the Liceo Coreutico Marconi in Pesaro and began working with Italian dance companies in 2023. He continued his training at Ballet Junior de Genève from 2024 to 2026 before joining the BNM as an apprentice.
Born in the Netherlands, Sascha studied ballet and jazz before turning to contemporary dance. She graduated from the ADDA Advanced Dance Institute in Barcelona in June 2026 and joined the BNM as an apprentice for the 2026–2027 season.

Through Danseur·euse·s de demain, the Ballet national de Marseille and CHANEL continue their shared commitment to training young dancers and supporting their entry into professional life. Renewed for the 2026–2027 season, CHANEL’s support enables the BNM to welcome and employ this new group of apprentices and guide them throughout their time with the company.
