PERMADANSE – Chaostur (Studio Residency 2024)
Chaostur combines electronic music and dance. It highlights the “new workers” of the 21st century, the injunction to be happy under all circumstances, and questions our relationship to labor.
Within this infernal machine of performance metrics, timed productivity, hyper-control, worker geolocation, the exploitation of labor rhythms, physical and mental exhaustion, and the pressure placed on individuals to ensure their own happiness… what remains of each of us once we strip away our socially constructed identities?
Chaostur reveals the vulnerability of our beings through bodies and a sonic environment that transform, making space for the living, the sensitive, and the intimate.
