VOILÀ LES TEMPS: TODAY, THE PAST, THE FUTURE – COMPAGNIE EAMK (Studio Residency 2022)
The family history of Androa Mindre Kolo lies at the origin of this project, with the body becoming the medium through which questions about their own story and that of the world are explored. How can the relationship between a mother and her son, long separated, be recreated? How can absence be transformed into presence?
In order to reconstruct their family history — without attempting to fill in the gaps of memory, but rather drawing from its “blind spots” — Androa Mindre Kolo develops a poetics of disappearance, composed of plays of shadow and apparition, materials and colors, music and reinvented rituals.
Voilà les temps seeks to exorcise suffering, to make it resurface without allowing it to overflow. The performance becomes a form of resistance to trauma, extending beyond purely aesthetic concerns.
