Calixto Neto – IL FAUX (Studio Residency 2022)

What would a body say if it were free to say everything? Initiated by artist Calixto Neto, IL FAUX is a danced piece confronting the dispossession of bodies that face ghosts and the terror of “decorporification,” in order to restore a vital force through dance.

From the perspective of a body that can at any moment be annihilated, removed, erased, or destroyed, IL FAUX questions the logics that govern our social interactions, our political choices, our regimes of visibility and privilege, as well as our relations of domination.
