PRESSE

Por Vos Muero,…, brings us back to the heart of Hispanic baroque through a dazzling reinterpretation of court dances. Passing from slow-motion moves to brief pas de deux in carnal-coloured tights in the style of Bejart or Kylian, and passacaglia, volta, sarabandes or galliards in ceremonial costumes, this ballet pays tribute to the whole European culture of a period that had a high opinion of entertainment.
Among the best passages of those entremets, we shall keep in memory the pleasant Italian mumbo jumbo by Gilles Porte and Angelo Vergari, the mascarade of the she-dancers ballet, the brilliant entering of the cavaliers with their censers wrapped in the purple of their cloaks. But above all, in this choreography, Petrarch’s inspiration of sonnets by Garcilaso, conveying a refined lyricism that presides over the couples of lovers in a brilliant outer demonstration of spiritual movements suggested by some texts spoken with the melancholic voice of Michel Bosé: from parades to skilful evolutions, composed of gambades, échappés, envolés, swift hand gestures in which struts about with stirring gravity, Delphine Boutet,Tamara Fernando and Laurence Ponnet with Peter Agardi, Thierry Vasselin and Golan Yosef, dancers obviously happy to remake Court ballet before an important audience of children, who, sensitive to such  beauty, vigorously acclaimed them.
