Yoshiko Kinoshita

From a very young age I wanted to dance and did everything I could to do so. I trained with Miyoshi Takatori and in 1996 joined the Japanese company La Danse Contrastée under Hiroshi Sato. I then worked with different Japanese choreographers and companies such as Yasuyuki Endo, Minoru Suzuki, Kim Itoh, Jo Kanamori and Pappa Tarahumara.

I joined the Ballet National de Marseille in 2007 and love the creativity that emanates from it. Today I’m open to a new approach centred on the inner search for movement. Being connected with what you profoundly are hasn’t been easy, but it’s starting to let me discover inner vibrations that I’d tended to ignore until then. It’s a silent revolt, but a very powerful one.
