I started to dance when I was a child when I joined Elisa Silvestri’s school in Ascoli Piceno. In 2005, I got a scholarship to study at London Contemporay Dance School, before being part of the training session at Toscana Ballet directed by Cristina Bozzoli.
Between 2005 and 2008, I danced at the BDTJ Dance Company (Balleto di Toscana) and then got hired by the Baletto Teatro di Torino.
I eventually auditioned at the BNM in 2010 and dance there ever since. With Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten, the dance is really physical and entices the body to stretch its limits.I like this way to display strength and frailty at the same time. That’s why Extremalism is my favourite play as it allows to explore and use these two aspects. But I also love Le Corps du Ballet National de Marseille, which allows former and newer dancers from the company to gather and act as one. We’ve learnt Emio Greco’s movements together.
