END OF FREDERIC FLAMAND’S TENURE RUNNING THE BALLET NATIONAL DE MARSEILLE
The Ballet National de Marseille is preparing to begin a new chapter in its history with the recruitment of a new Artistic Director in early 2014.
The BNM would like to thank Frédéric FLAMAND for everything he has achieved at the head of the company since 2005 through the implementation of an artistic project based on the concept of “memory and innovation”. Frédéric FLAMAND has been able to establish a dialogue between the classical and contemporary technique by bringing dance into contact with other media, and by developing collaborations with leading figures from the contemporary art world such as Dominique Perrault, Zaha Hadid, Thom Mayne, the Campaña brothers and Hans Op de Beeck.
The BNM is very glad to be able to respond favourably next season to requests from programmers who are keen to stage works created for the company by Frédéric Flamand, as well as by guest choreographers Emanuel Gat, Emio Greco and Olivier Dubois.
