Based on the 20th century’s most famous maritime disaster. One hundred years on. A wall of ice meets a wall of metal in shock-inducing writing for dance invented by Frédéric Flamand.
“Titanic” is the second part of a trilogy featuring “La Chute d’Icare” (1989), “Titanic” (1992) and “Ex-machina” (1994) which was produced in collaboration with the Venetian visual artist and video director Fabrice Plessi.
Bodies sway on the ship’s bridge, a huge mass pierced by portholes of lights. Like a diamond reflecting a sharp white light, the cold mass of the iceberg tears through the steel. A work at the very heart of modern society’s promethean dilemma where art and technology are in opposition.
